From a dear friend, another SpiritHawk, a Sister.

Thanks so much. I love it.

Well, updates being what they are.... We are still in Texas. Unfortunately, both Spiritwalker and I are in the league of the disabled. While I have been in this profile for many years, SW recently joined me. He has injured his back (DDD-see my disabilities page for explanation)and has had to give up his job that he enjoyed. Now we wait for our 'government support' aka: Social Security to kick in. We have been blessed by so many. We appreciate all the assistance that has been provided, it has been a very long 16 months. I have been in and out of the hospital several times, had a couple surgeries, and now face a life threatening disease. I'll go into that more in the future on the disabilities information page. It is still very fresh in our minds and hearts, and as such, difficult to talk about.

As for our children, grand-children....they continue on. They have all changed so much. We are so very proud of each of them. The people they have become, and the changes that continue.

As they say, "Stay tuned"...you never know what could happen next.

I've never been very good at talking about myself, but, my husband tells me this should be about me. I was born in 1963, in New Mexico, and married the love of my life in 1983 in Oklahoma.

I'm a wife, mother and grandmother. I enjoy spending time with my lifemate of 20 yrs. (and counting) and watching my children and grandchildren grow and become people in their own right.

I come from a small town in Southeastern Oklahoma (Bokoshe, LeFlore County, Oklahoma), and I presently reside in one that I can get lost in with little or no effort whatsoever.

We now live in Sherman, Grayson County, Texas. We moved here for SW's work- he was transferred, they needed someone who could run the machines and train others. He was the man for the job.

I have very few hobbies; genealogy, beadwork, reading and going to powwows.

I was adopted by my maternal grandparents, and grew up knowing this. I have a close relationship with my biological mother (she lives with us), and her family. Unfortunately, I recently discovered that my biological father has passed away. I never knew him, and am in the process of finding any family that I may have on his side. One problem I have run into tho, he was adopted also. I would love to have contact with this side of the family, if they are willing. I want to share my life with them and let them discover what I have always known, "I have a wonderful life."

So, if there are any members of the Gerald "Jerry/Gerry" D. Cooper (Carlsbad, Eddy County, New Mexico) out there, please don't hesitate to contact me. We may be related.

My family is a multi-cultural family. Mostly a combination of several Native American tribes, European farmers and many other cultures.

I hope I have given enough of a description that you can understand why I have created this site.

I'm very proud of my family. I would like to think that I have had a hand in how they have turned out.....but, I'm not sure the credit is mine.....they were a gift from the Creator that I have been lucky and blessed enough to share.

While I am 'mobility challenged' (see explanation of challenges), I feel I have done a rather good job of becoming a productive part of the World. And my family has had a big part to play in that fact.

It is my hope that this site is not only informative, but also entertaining. And maybe I'll be lucky enough to make some new friends in the process.
